This painting is based on photos taken from a construction site. An old building in the center of Stockholm from the beginning of the 20th century was being refurbished and I got the opportunity to walk around and take pictures of what it looked like. The image on the upper left is from the attic and I'm not sure what it is but it looks like old stamps. Maybe with appartment numbers? To the right just a nice and worn surface and in the bottom left some visible pipes that have been hidden in the wall. In the bottom right the view from one of the windows and today this painting is hanging on the wall opposite that window.
